Basic Dataset for Sorani Kurdish Automatic Speech Recognition (BD-4SK-ASR)

This dataset, named Basic Dataset for Sorani Kurdish Automatic Speech Recognition (BD-4SK-ASR), was developed by the University of Kurdistan, with the goal of supplying foundational data for the construction of Sorani Kurdish automatic speech recognition systems. The dataset encompasses 2000 sentences extracted from primary school textbooks for grades 1 through 3 in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, which were subsequently augmented through random generation. During the dataset's construction, CMUSphinx served as the experimental environment, and voice data was recorded using Audacity software. This dataset is primarily utilized for Sorani Kurdish automatic speech recognition research, aiming to alleviate the scarcity of available resources in this domain.
