资源简介:
This dataset contains all the clam shrimp specimens collected from the Purbeck Limestone Formation in four sections in the southern UK: 1) northern Durlston Bay section in Swanage: the fossil horizon is the Freshwater Beds. One species was recovered, i.e. Liograpta subquadrata; 2) southern Durlstone Bay section in Swanage: the fossil horizon is the Freshwater Beds. One species was recovered, i.e. Liograpta subquadrata; 3) east Lulworth Cove section near West Lulworth: the fossil horizon is the Freshwater Beds. Two clam shrimp species were recovered, i.e. Carapacestheria? lulworthensis sp. nov., and Liograpta subquadrata; 4) Bacon Hole of Mupe Bay section: the fossil horizon is the Caps and Dirt Beds, only one specimen and its counter part were recovered. Because no ornamentation was preserved, the specimens can not be identified. In the data sets, the dementions of the newly collected specimens are included, such as the number of growth lines, the caarapace length, the carapace hight, and the ratio of Height/Length. All specimens are preserved in the collection of Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the register specimen numbers are also clearly shown in the dataset.
