A cell line (CDS17) established from a dedifferentiated chondrosarcoma, another line derived from a CDS17 xenograft (T-CDS17) and matched healthy and tumor patient samples were subjected to whole exome sequencing (WES). This analysis uncovered new mutations, confirmed that cell lines kept the most relevant mutations of the tumor and revealed structural variants emerged during in vitro / in vivo growth.
