Genome of the microbiome in deep-sea glass sponge Bathydorus sp.

We focused on a new glass sponge in the genus Bathydorus, of which the microbiome comprised of a sole dominant ammonia-oxidizing archaea and performed a genome-centric view of its microbiome. In total, fourteen high-quality prokaryotic MAGs, which are affiliated with the phyla Thermoproteota, Proteobacteria, Nitrospirota, Bdellovibrionota, SAR324, Bacteroidota, and Patescibacteria, were obtained.
