ETH Global Canopy Height 2020 — North America (250 m Mosaic)

This dataset is a 250 m resolution continental mosaic derived from the ETH GlobalCanopyHeight 2020 product (Potapov et al., 2021), which provides estimates of global forest canopy height at 10 m spatial resolution for the reference year 2020.Tiles covering North America (6° N–84° N, 168° W–48° W) were downloaded from the ETH Zürich data repository (libdrive.ethz.ch), mosaicked using the terra v1.8-70 R package, and aggregated (mean) from 10 m to 250 m resolution to facilitate continental-scale analyses and integration with other environmental layers. All processing was performed in geographic coordinates (EPSG:4326, WGS 84).Pixel values represent mean canopy height (m) within each 250 m cell.Tiles with incomplete or missing data were automatically excluded prior to mosaicking.
