This series comprises minutes of the Belmont Infant Welfare Centre Committee. It was moved at a public meeting held on 16 July 1936 to form a Baby Health Centre. A committee was formed which included members of the Council among others. These books record the minutes of that committee. The first centre in the municipality opened in the Shire President's room on 11 September 1936. Since that time several centres were opened throughout the City.
