In order to study the evolutionary history and mechanism of cross-kingdom host adaptation of fungi in Hypocreales, total 45 sequenced genomes were selected, including the two newly sequenced gnomes, e.g. nematode endoparasite Hirsutella rhossiliensis in our laboratory. The purposes of this study are to provide an evolutionary pattern of lifestyle in Hypocreales and to illustrate the mechanisms to drive the evolution of diverse lifestyles and host shift.
