Eastern- versus central-Pacific ENSO indices as diagnostics of coastal Ecuadorian precipitation (1975-2026)

Code, derived statistics and climate-index series accompanying the article of the same title (submitted to International Journal of Climatology). The deposit contains the analysis scripts, the complete set of derived statistics against which every value and figure reported in the article can be verified, the published figures, and copies of the ONI, RONI and ICEN series used. The underlying monthly precipitation records for Esmeraldas, Manta, Guayaquil and Salinas (1975–2026) are held by Ecuador's Instituto Nacional de Meteorología e Hidrología (INAMHI) and Instituto Oceanográfico y Antártico de la Armada (INOCAR); they are not redistributable by the authors and are available from those institutions on request. With those records in place the scripts reproduce the analysis end to end; without them the deposit supports verification rather than re-execution.
