资源简介:
Microbial production of n-caproate and iso-butyrate is a more sustainable alternative for acquiring platform chemicals. Only few chain-elongating species have been discovered to utilize lactate. Knowledge of understanding the physiology of lactate-based chain elongation is not sufficient from pure culture studies. We isolated three novel species (strains BL-3, BL-4 and BL-6) that can convert lactate to n-caproate and iso-butyrate. The objectives were to further investigate on their genomic and metabolic features of the formation of n-caproate and iso-butyrate, and the shared genetic features with other reported chain elongation species. Here we deposited full-length 16S rRNA gene sequences of three isolates.
