Candidate Gene Dataset for the Post-Pollination Syndrome in Vanilla planifolia Identified Through Integrated Structural and Functional Transcriptome Labels

This dataset contains a prioritized list of candidate genes associated with the post-pollination syndrome during the flower-to-fruit transition in Vanilla planifolia. Candidate genes were identified by integrating structural and functional transcriptomic labels derived from a de novo assembled TFF transcriptome. Structural labels include differential expression and network hub status, while functional labels include conserved orthology, reproductive process association (pollination, post-pollination, fertilization), transcription factors, and epigenetic regulators. The dataset provides transcript identifiers, assigned labels, and the integrated classification used to prioritize candidate genes based on the simultaneous presence of structural and functional attributes. This resource supports studies on regulatory and developmental mechanisms underlying reproductive transition in V. planifolia.
