Share of overweight or obese adults in Italy 2022-2023, by education level

Between 2022 and 2023, about 32.7 percent of Italian adults were overweight, while around 10.4 percent of them were obese. This statistic highlights differences in these figures in terms of educational level of overweight and obese individuals. According to the data, there was a clear relation between weight class and level of education. On the one hand, overweight and obesity appeared to be more widespread among individuals with a low education level. On the other, individuals with a university degree were less likely to suffer from these conditions.
