Targeted amplicon deep sequencing of P. falciparum antimalarial drug resistance markers in northern Namibia, 2023

P. falciparum antimalarial drug resistance marker genotypes and complexity of infection were obtained for 264 samples collected from 16 health facilities across 5 regions of Namibia between April to September 2023. Genotypes were generated using the MAD4HatTeR targeted amplicon deep sequencing protocol (Aranda-Diaz, 2025). The study is described in a preprint (Eloff et al., 2025), which includes sampling and bioinformatics procedures, as well as summarized results.
