This dataset contains raw images of a new Rattus species from the Pliocene Yangyi Formation in Baoshan, Yunnan, along with co-occurring small mammal fossils, 3D reconstruction models derived from CT (computed tomography) scans, and raw survey map images. The data were primarily collected through field photography with cameras, laboratory focus-stacking photography, CT export, and other relevant processes. All materials were processed using professional 2D and 3D rendering software such as Photoshop and VGstudio. The images are high-resolution raw-size files with a resolution of 600 dpi. These images have promising application prospects for further in-depth comparative research, and can provide valuable references for studies on Cenozoic mammal faunas and rodent systematics.
