Gut Metagenome of Pseudogastromyzon fasciatus

This dataset contains 16S rRNA sequencing data from the gut microbiota of Pseudogastromyzon fasciatus, a species of freshwater fish. The study aims to explore the structural characteristics of the gut microbiota and its ecological implications in relation to fish adaptation to different environmental conditions. A total of seven fish samples from various freshwater environments were analyzed, generating data on microbial diversity and composition, with 3,432 observed operational taxonomic units (OTUs). The dataset provides valuable insights into the role of gut microbiota in freshwater fish ecology and their adaptation to varying habitats.
