Supplementary Data for the Global Phycosphere Atlas: Gene Catalog, Functional Annotations, and Analysis Scripts

This dataset contains supplementary materials supporting the study “Global phycosphere atlas links host-specific microbiome assembly to specialized enzymatic strategies for algal carbon turnover.” It includes the Phycospheric Prokaryotes Reference Gene Catalog with comprehensive gene annotations, CAZyme predictions, microbial taxonomic profiles, and intermediate files necessary to reproduce all figures presented in the study. Additionally, custom scripts used for data analysis are provided to ensure reproducibility. Metadata for the 7,729 non-redundant MAGs are available separately in Supplementary Data 2, while details on supplementary figures, protein sequences, and primers for site-directed mutagenesis can be found in Supplementary Data 3. All metagenomic data used in this work have been previously published and are listed in Supplementary Data 1. The MAGs dataset and other primary supporting data are accessible via the National Microbiology Data Center (NMDC) under accession number NMDC10020668.
