A patient with multiple ground glass nodules in the lung received surgical treatment, and three nodules were removed. Lung cancer-related driver gene detection was performed on the three nodules, and RET mutations were detected in all of them. We suspected that the three nodules might be from the same source, so whole exon sequencing was conducted, and the results showed that the three nodules were from different origins, that is, multiple primary nodules
