US Test-Prep Pricing Dataset 2026: 80 courses from 23 providers, every price source-linked (SAT/ACT, GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT)
收藏资源简介:
Every published US test-prep price we could find, with the source URL for each number and the date it was read. 80 products from 23 providers across the SAT/ACT, GRE, GMAT, LSAT and MCAT, collected August 2026. Test-prep pricing is unusually opaque: list prices change without notice, "sale" prices are often permanent, and a large share of the tutoring market publishes no price at all. This dataset was built to make that market auditable. Every row carries the exact URL the price was read from and the date it was checked, so any figure can be independently re-verified. Nothing is estimated. Where a provider does not publish a price, the row is recorded as quote-only rather than filled with a guess — that absence is itself one of the findings. Columns: provider, exam, product_name, format (self-paced / live online / in-person / private tutoring), price_usd, billing (one-time / monthly / hourly), includes, score_guarantee, source_url, date_checked. Selected findings: self-paced course prices span roughly an order of magnitude between the cheapest and most expensive providers of the same exam; score guarantees are frequently money-back-only and conditional on documented hours of coursework; and several of the largest tutoring brands publish no price anywhere on their site. Browse the data as a free interactive tool (filter by exam and format, sort by price, one-click "verify" link to the original source page for every row): https://smeltworks.com/testprep-pricing/ Licence: released under CC BY-NC 4.0 — free to use, cite and redistribute for research, journalism and personal use with attribution. Commercial use (client deliverables, pricing decks, investor materials, competitive-intelligence products) requires a commercial licence, available with the formatted XLSX and the written analysis at https://smeltworks.com/testprep-pricing/. Method: prices were read directly from each provider's own public pricing page. No aggregator, reseller or affiliate page was used as a source. Figures reflect list prices visible on the date recorded in the date_checked column and will drift; the source_url column exists so that drift can be measured rather than guessed at.
