Newt (Notopthalmus viridescens erythrocytes were isolated in 0.1M KCl, spread on the surface of Na-citrate, picked up on formvar-carbon films, fixed with glutaraldehyde and negatively stained with 2% uranyl acetate. Images were recorded at 40KX and accelerating voltage of 1MeV at the University of Wisconsin HVEM facility.This image was taken with a specimen tilt of 45 degrees. A grouped image of the same field at a 55 degree tilt provides an oblique stereo view of a stretched tangle of chromatin fibers from the dispersed nucleus.

Newt（Notopthalmus viridescens erythrocytes）在0.1M氯化钾溶液中分离，铺展于柠檬酸钠表面，经formvar碳膜吸附，以戊二醛固定，并以2%铀酰乙酸负染。图像在威斯康星大学HVEM设施中采用40KX放大倍数和1MeV加速电压进行记录。本图以45度倾斜的样本拍摄。同一视野的55度倾斜组图则提供了一种斜视立体视图，展示了分散核中拉长的染色质纤维缠结。
