BSR-seq for mapping the causal gene responsible for the green intensity in lettuce leaves

Lettuce is one of the most important green vegetables in the world, and lettuce leaf color (dark or pale green) is a good sensory quality for consumers. To map and clone the genes responsible for the green intensity in lettuce leaves, a segregating sub-population derived from Multi-parent Advanced Generation intercross (MAGIC) population was used. BSR-seq was performed to map the causal gene with the RNAs of two extreme plant pools (pale green pool and dark green pool) from the segregating population.
