Differences in gene expression patterns between parthenogenetically and sexually produced offspring during early development of Reticulitermes speratus

In social insects, it is increasingly understood that endogenous factors play a role in caste determination. This project aims to explore the factors leading to different caste fates between parthenogenetic and sexually produced eggs of Reticulitermes speratus by comparing gene expression in their embryos and attempting to detect any parent-of-origin effects.
