Open data package for Great Britain power grid modeling and GIC validation

This dataset contains the processed data supporting the manuscript "Open Source National-scale Power Grid Modeling for Space Weather Applications", submitted to Geophysical Research Letters. The archive includes OpenStreetMap-derived power-infrastructure data, the modeled Great Britain 400 and 275 kV power grid topology, substation and transmission-line validation results, substation-level geomagnetically induced current (GIC) comparison results, and sensitivity-analysis results for grounding resistance and branch unit resistance. The modeled network data were derived from OpenStreetMap power-infrastructure features and are provided under the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0 where applicable. Reference-network information used for validation is described and cited in the associated manuscript. The processed validation and GIC result tables are provided to support reproducibility of the reported topology validation, GIC comparison, and sensitivity-analysis results.
