To investigate gene expression changes in fish by the secondary effluent (directly released to environment) of a waterwater treatment plant in Tucson, Arizona, zebrafish larvae with 5-day exposure to the original (1x) or half (0.5x) concentration of the effluent were analyzed using Agilent G2519F-026437 Zebrafish Oligo Microarray. Embryos aged 3 h post-fertilisation were exposed to 1x or 0.5x concentration of reconstituted effluent in E3 medium with a maximum of 0.05% DMSO. The control group contained 0.05% (v/v) DMSO in E3 medium only. After five days of exposure, embryos from each well were collected as one replicates. Four replicates of control group and five replicates of treatment group were analyzed.
