资源简介:
These passive raw seafloor electric and magnetic field time series data files were acquired in 2017 and 2018 using SIO Mk III OBEM seafloor magnetotelluric/electromagnetic sensors deployed during the Mendocino Fracture Zone project (https://marineemlab.ucsd.edu/Projects/Mendocino/) in the eastern Pacific Ocean, across the Mendocino fracture zone at 131.5 degrees west longitude. The instruments, data format, and playback software are described at https://marineemlab.ucsd.edu/instruments/. The OBEM instruments were deployed during Rvelle cruise RR1719. The data files are in the Scripps EM data logger binary format. The fifth channel recorded is seismic/pressure, either DPG or hydrophone. The data files were generated as part of the project called The Mendocino Fracture Zone: A natural laboratory to study aging of the lithosphere and asthenosphere. Funding was from NSF award OCE-1736590 and UC ship funds.
