Open Data

Open data project provided an overview of situation regarding taking care of research data in Slovenia. Issues, procedures and solutions were identified in the various phases of data life cycle: creation, evaluation, curation, publication and use of research data. The experiences and specifics of different actors from various institutions were applied to prepare a national plan and conclusions on this field. For this purpose 22 interviews were conducted with Slovenian experts from various scientific fields who act as producers, curators or users of the data. The main focus of interest was to find out what are the potentials for the future. Besides examining current situation in Slovenia, one of the major objectives in the first phase of this project was an attempt to identify better and upgraded future system for accessing research data.
