Microbiological changes in the gut of mice transplanted with faecal bacteria

Using engineered probiotics to modulate the microbiota, we conducted a fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) experiment to investigate its impact on the gut microbiota of mice. Engineered probiotics significantly altered the gut microbiota composition of donor mice, and the processed donor fecal microbiota was transplanted into germ-free or antibiotic-treated recipient mice. After transplantation, the dynamic changes in the gut microbiota were assessed.
