Generalized linear mixed models describing the effect of years, fire, grazing or topography on grass cover (the number of grid squares that were covered by grass, out of nine).

Fire had two levels (burned vs not burned), grazing had three levels (not grazed, lightly grazed and heavily grazed) and topography had four levels. The models assume a binomial response and logit link function. Transect was treated as a random effect in all models such that a constant model has transect as random effect only. K is the number of parameters in each model including the intercept, Delta AIC is the difference between each model and the model with the lowest AIC. The model with the lowest AIC is the best model.
