The instinct feature of twenty-four-subunit ferritin molecule provides biological functions for removing essential metal ions from solution and depositing or storing them within the interior cavity in ferritin nanocage, which determines the most extraordinary phenomenon in living creatures. Particularly, Cu ions interacting with ferritin nanocage plays essential roles for the most enzyme-binding active sites, cellular metabolism and diseases. This dataset contains the active iron metabolism of recombinant ferritin from <i>Tegillarca granosa</i> and the Cu-ferritin nanocage (Tgfer+Cu). The ferrous oxidation catalysis two species was measured by the increased rate of absorbance at 310 nm.
