Nd and Sr Isotopic Data from Surface and Soil Salts of the Dry Valleys, Antarctica

This dataset contains Neodymium (Nd) and Strontium (Sr) isotopic data from
water soluble salts and associated host soils, cobbles, and surface volcanic
deposits in the Dry Valleys of Antarctica (samples provided by David Marchant
of BU and Huiming Bao of LSU). Also included is data from a single salt and
cobble sample from the Siesta paleosol near the Beardmore Glacier (sample
provided by Gregory Retallack of Oregon St.).
Sr, Nd, and Rb concentrations are also available for most samples. XRD
mineralogic identification of salts is available for some samples.

All isotopic data were collected by TIMS analysis either at MIT (lab of Sam
Bowring) of UC Berkeley (lab of Donald DePaolo). Concentration data were
collected by ICP-MS at BU.
