RGF sand biofilm communities were enriched over 62 days for geosmin degraders in batch microcosm experiments demonstrating geosmin degradation

Three water treatment works (WTWs) rapid gravity filter (RGF) sand biofilms were enriched for geosmin degraders over 62 days, with samples being taken for community analysis at verious points throughout the experimetnts. All three communities demonstrated geosmin biodegradation, with a clear shift in diversity and community structure throughout.
