Number of employee basic medical insurance participants in China 2013-2023, by status

In 2023, about 370.95 million people participated in the employee basic medical insurance program in China. The number of active employees as well as retired employees are both growing, while the ratio of active employees to retirees has decreased slightly since 2020.

截至2023年，约有3.7095亿人参与了中国的职工基本医疗保险计划。活跃员工及退休员工的人数均在持续增长，然而，自2020年以来，活跃员工与退休员工的比例略有下降。
