Vancomycin-resitant Enterococcus faecium sequencing

This project examines the development of linezolid resistance in vanA-positive Enterococcus faecium during clinical treatment. Serial isolates collected from a single patient were analyzed using antimicrobial susceptibility testing and whole-genome sequencing to investigate genetic changes associated with increasing resistance. The data provide insight into the emergence of linezolid resistance in VRE and support improved understanding of its clinical and microbiological significance.
