RIS-Measurements for Codebook Design

Description of dataset:

Description of files:

Files 06_06_ch_ka_3D_5_5Ghz_2m.csv , 06_06_ch_ka_3D_5_5Ghz_1_5m.csv, 06_06_ch_ka_3D_5_5Ghz_1m.csv consists of 5 columns of data. The first column contains the elevation angle, the second column contains the azimuth angle. The third column provides the number of the selected pattern – descriptions of the used patterns can be found in the file RIS_patterns_description.json. The fourth column contains the frequency at which the measurement was conducted, in Hertz.The fifth column contains the received power level measured at the receiving antenna in dBm. Those file are related to first measurement sceanario described in the article. 09_05_ch_ka_3D_5_5Ghz_1_5m_copper_pl.csv ,13_06_ch_ka_3D_5_5Ghz_2m_copper_pl.csv, 14_06_ch_ka_3D_5_5Ghz_1m_copper_pl.csv consist of data for pattern no. -1 - wchich corespond to copper plate.  Heatmaps are generated base of the files.

File 3D_vertical_04.06.csv is related to second measurement scenario. Structure of this file is the same as those related to firsct scenario.

Description of measured patterns:

File RIS_patterns.json contains a list of patterns represented in hexadecimal format. Each pattern has an ID, a description (DESC), and a corresponding hexadecimal value (HEX). The patterns include various configurations such as turning all elements on or off, activating specific sections (e.g., left side, right side, upper half, lower half), and different striping or checkerboard designs. Additionally, there are some unique patterns like "Chest" and "Dartboard," as well as random patterns.

Description of pattern names from the article to the measurement files:

For example, Pattern 2 in the measurement files corresponds to Pattern 20.Pattern 1 -> pattern 1. Pattern 2 -> pattern 20.Pattern 3 -> pattern 17. Pattern 4 -> pattern 8.
