Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) are typical environmental persistent organic pollutants (POPs) that have been reported to induce hepatotoxicity. However, the mechanisms along with the gut microbiota remains unknown. Herein, we investigated the liver physiology, biochemistry, and gut microbiota after exposure to PFOA, PFOS, or 6:2 Cl-PFESA for 21 days in adult male Rana nigromaculata.
