资源简介:
The project involves qualitative interviews with approximately 20 CALD parents of primary and high school children in Western Sydney. Our interview questions delve into the digital access available for supporting home learning in a post-COVID world. The objective is to determine how effective this access is in ensuring that CALD students can continue to learn with support from their parents. When parents engage with digital learning, they can effectively participate in education by harnessing digital technologies and resources for their children’s success in formal and informal learning. Hence, the proposed project aims to understand (i) the impact of digital inclusion/exclusion on CALD parents and (ii) ways in which CALD parents use technology to attend to the learning needs of their children in Western Sydney.
The dataset consists of 25 interview transcripts or raw audio files, each based on a one-hour individual semi-structured interview with newly arrived migrant parents who settled in Sydney between 2019 and 2023. Participants came from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds across Western Sydney. It also includes the consent forms from the participants.
