资源简介:

The files here correspond to four analyses, structured according to the publication Callaway et al. (2025): 1) Field data on plants (ANPP and vegetation cover): 2) Field data on nitrogen content (ammonium and nitrate)3) Common garden data on plants (ANPP)4) Common garden data on nitrogen content (ammonium and nitrate) For each section, there is a corresponding R script and an Excel file containing the data (no specific order needed to use the scripts): 1) field_plants.xlsx & field_plants.R2) field_nitrogen.xlsx & field_nitrogen.R3) common_garden_plants.xlsx & common_garden_plants.R4) common_garden_nitrogen.xlsx & common_garden_nitrogen.R The descriptions of the variables can be found in the respective Excel files under the worksheet "Metadata", while the data itself is located in the "Data" worksheet. Note that in addition to the .xlsx files, we have also also uploaded .csv files for better long-term accessibility. Additionally, there is an R script, called 5) my_graphs.R which is specifically needed for the visual representation of the box-violin plots. Moreover, there is an R script available that can be used to calculate the LRRs (log response ratios): 6) create_LRRs_example_field_biomass.R In this script, the LRR was calculated as an example for field biomass, and the same structure can be applied to all other variables used. However, the LRRs are already included in the main data tables, so you don’t need to calculate them again. Still, you can use this script to check how they were calculated and verify whether the calculations were done correctly.
