Stock Selection Decision Support System in the Agricultural Sector for Investment Decisions During the Pandemic (COVID-19)

This study develops a Decision Support System (DSS) using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to evaluate and select optimal agricultural sector stocks for investment during the COVID-19 pandemic. Five stock alternatives—AALI, ISIP, SSMS, SIMP, and SGRO—are analyzed based on five key financial criteria: Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Revenue, Price-to-Earnings Ratio (PER), and Stock Price. The empirical results identify SSMS as the top-performing stock with a preference value of 0.870, followed by AALI (0.670) and SGRO 0.567).
