Genome sequencing and assembly of Pseudomonas strains from tomato pith necrosis

In order to characterize the diversity of tomato bacterial pathogens, we sequenced the genomes of two fluorescent Pseudomonas strains isolated from tomato pith necrosis. The strains have been assigned to Pseudomonas genomospecies FP1 but they have not been formally named as species (Sutra et al., 1997; doi:10.1099/00207713-47-4-1020). The genome resources obtained will help clarify the etiology of the disease.
