资源简介:
We examined whether and how differences in the age-dependent social strategies of responding lizards might affect their self- and individual chemosensory discrimination abilities. We also analyzed whether discriminations can be actually mediated by the lipid and/or protein fraction of the femoral gland secretions of conspecific lizards. As a model species, we used the large psammodromus lizard (Psammodromus algirus), a lacertid lizard that inhabits shrub and woodlands of the western Mediterranean.
