Press coverage of seismo-volcanic crisis in Mayotte

Media, especially the press, play a crucial role in shaping public understanding and representations during risk and crisis management, acting as intermediaries between various actors and the public. However, their framing of sources can introduce biases into representations. Here we present an attribute table of a database composed of 343 daily newspaper articles published between spring 2018 and 2021 and covering an unprecedented seismic crisis and the discovery of new underwater volcanic activity in Mayotte, France. We added the model code of Marion Le Texier and appendices used for the publication "Tracing the evolving actor network: A social network analysis of the 2018 Mayotte crisis in the press" (published in NHESS).
