CHIRTSmax provides daily maximum temperature (Tmax) estimates at 0.05° resolution globally from 1983 to 2016. Combines satellite thermal infrared data with station observations using the same framework as CHIRPS. Serves as a high-resolution Tmax baseline for India. The original CHIRTS (1983-2016) is now extended through CHIRTS-ERA5, which blends CHIRTS with bias-corrected ERA5 reanalysis data to provide near-real-time updates. Public domain.
