Crate usage patterns in domestic settings and dog behaviour: dataset

This dataset was collected as part of a study investigating the effect of crate use in domestic environment on dog behaviour. It includes variables describing crate-related management practices (e.g., average hours per day spent in the crate, percentage of life spent crated, caregiver motivations) and behavioural change indicators derived from caregivers’ reports. The data were used to examine how different crate-use patterns may predict variations in behavioural outcomes, with particular attention to emotional and welfare implications.
