aHaplogroups were nested, within the respective NPC or NC group, according to their phylogenetic positions in the global human mtDNA PhyloTree (www.phylotree.org; mtDNA tree Build 15, 30 Sep 2012) [38]. For example, M contains D and M* and their sub-haplogroups, and so does N which contains R* and N* and their sub-haplogrous.
