Krasnoyarsk had the highest PM2.5 concentration among cities in Russia, with an average of 51.7 micrograms per cubic meter of air in 2022. Moscow's pollution levels were measured at nearly 11 micrograms per cubic meter of air, ranking 81st among regional capital cities by PM2.5 levels worldwide in that year.
