Deep exome sequencing of the FINRISK cohort. Homo sapiens

This project contains the deep exome sequence of individuals from the FINRISK cohort collected by the National Institute for Health and Welfare, Finland (THL). Participants of the FINRISK study are drawn from 3-5 large study areas in Finland. The sequence subjects are from the regions of Finland where the most extreme process of expansion from bottlenecks has occurred: the northern provinces of Oulu and Lapland and the eastern province of North Karelia. This sequencing study is part of a larger effort that is also generating exome sequence from participants in the METSIM study. The larger study is a collaborative endeavor between researchers at Washington University in St. Louis, UCLA, University of Michigan, Institute for Health and Welfare, Finland (THL), University of Kuopio and the University of Helsinki.
