York University Grassland Quadrat Plant sampling data

To collect the necessary plant diversity data within the grasslands, a one meter squared quadrat was placed randomly. The quadrat was placed every 5 steps, starting from the entrance of the grassland (high grass abundance, no plant abundance/diversity) and heading inwards (towards the pond). Within each quadrat the following was measured:<br> (1) Plant abundance: The number of individuals of each species present, measured within a small 25x25 cm area, and applied to entire quadrat by x4.<br> (2) Number (#) of species: The number of plant species present within the quadrat<br> (3) Grass abundance: The amount of grass present (in percentage) relative to entire quadrat<br> (4) Total vegatative cover: The amount of area within qudrat (in percentage) the plants actually cover
