资源简介:
This study aims to investigate the impact of major international events on the prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 variants in the Swiss canton of Grisons, focusing on wastewater samples collected from Davos, Landquart, Lostallo, and St. Moritz. Utilizing RNA sequencing, the project seeks to track the emergence and spread of new variants, particularly the Omicron variant BA.1 and BA.2.75, during key events such as international sports competitions and the World Economic Forum. The findings have significant implications for public health measures, as they suggest that international gatherings can influence the spread of new SARS-CoV-2 variants. The study provides an unbiased methodology for pandemic surveillance, offering valuable insights for both local and international health authorities.
