资源简介:
This data set consists of thermal gradients and thermal conductivity to compute the heat flux. Determinations of heat flux are in and around the Stevenson Island vent field, Yellowstone Lake, Yellowstone National Park, USA. The data have been processed to convert from resistance to temperature using calibrations for each thermistor. Heat flow was estimated by combining the thermal gradient and thermal conductivity using the Bullard method. The data set was collected using the ROV heat flow probe from the WHOI Deep Submergence Facility. The heat flow probe was deployed with ROV Yogi from R/V Annie which was operated by Global Foundation for Ocean Exploration. Each probe deployment lasted approximately 15 minutes. The data file is in comma-separated ASCII format and the first row gives the column headers and units. The data set was generated as part of the Hydrothermal Dynamics of Yellowstone Lake (HD-YLAKE) project and was supported by National Science Foundation under grant EAR-1515283.
