DESIGNING A MODEL FOR ASSESSING THE LEVEL OF EMOTIONAL COMPETENCE IN STUDENTS

This article analyzes the development of emotional competence in education specialists within the holistic framework of their professional preparedness for teaching. The concepts of "emotional competence," "communicative competence," and "emotional intelligence" are differentiated. The author proposes a unique definition of emotional competence in teachers. An empirical study was conducted to determine the level of emotional competence in future teaching specialists in order to develop the necessary pedagogical conditions for enhancing their emotional competence. The results of a study of the emotional competence of students studying pedagogical programs were analyzed. The findings of the study allowed the development of pedagogical conditions for enhancing the emotional competence of future teachers.
