When Predictions Change What Counts as Evidence: Materials, Privacy-Minimized Data, and Reproducibility Files

Research compendium accompanying the manuscript “When Predictions Change What Counts as Evidence: Prospective Process Tracing of Bazi Forecasts and Relationship Decisions.” This repository contains the study materials, procedural documentation, coding manuals and trace rules, privacy-minimized structured data, data documentation, and analysis files supporting the numerical results reported in the manuscript and Supplemental Material. The study used prospective longitudinal qualitative process tracing to examine how relationship-focused Bazi forecasts may alter the evidence by which recipients subsequently evaluate those forecasts. Publicly shared files are designed to permit evaluation of the study procedures and computational reproduction of the reported numerical counts and tables while minimizing participant re-identification risk. Raw interview transcripts, audio recordings, exact birth-time combinations, original message records, linkage files, signed consent records, and other detailed relational materials are not publicly released because combinations of relational, temporal, and birth-related information create substantial risks of participant re-identification. The repository documents the corresponding controlled-access procedure and privacy safeguards. The study was not preregistered. Data collection and preservation of the recipient-salience index were prospective; the final process architecture and classifications were developed abductively after corpus freeze.
