We have a novel isolate of Schizosaccharomyces pombe, CBS2777, which contains four chromosomes as a result of complex rearrangements. We have performed genomic sequencing accompanied by ChIP-seq to investigate binding of key proteins to centromeric regions alongside an analysis of siRNAs.
